Define what private means in the quote

The word "private" can describe different services. A private sightseeing vehicle means the ground vehicle is reserved for your group under the agreed arrangement. It does not, by itself, mean you have an exclusive balloon basket, a private launch field or exclusive access to monuments. Ask the organizer to state the flight arrangement and the ground arrangement separately.

For the balloon, confirm the service, passenger details, pickup and what the price includes. For the ground tour, identify the vehicle, guide, selected sights, admission and return destination. Choose the ground visit around one main interest

Start with the attraction or theme you would most regret missing. A first visit might prioritize royal tombs at the Valley of the Kings. Architecture-focused travelers might choose Hatshepsut Temple or Medinet Habu. A brief Colossi of Memnon stop can be considered if it fits the agreed route.

Then ask how much of the morning remains after flying, recovery, breakfast and transfer. Do not start with the longest possible monument list and force the experience into it. A private ground tour should help the pace suit your group, but it cannot remove opening restrictions, traffic, walking or the need to rest.

Make the handover an explicit service

Flight landing location, recovery and return timing can vary. The sightseeing driver needs a process for receiving the actual meeting point, not only a time copied from a sample itinerary. Confirm who coordinates the transition, which telephone number to use and what you should do if the flight team changes the return arrangement.

• Will the ground tour begin after a hotel return or directly after flight recovery?
• Where can you eat breakfast, use a toilet and collect any belongings?
• Who holds luggage that is unsuitable for the balloon?
• Does the agreed vehicle remain with your group during the sightseeing portion?

Ask for a written cost breakdown. At a minimum, identify the flight, ground vehicle, guide, standard admissions, special tomb tickets, meals and any other compulsory charges. Tips and optional shopping should be clear. A lower package price may cover less ground service or exclude the admission that matters most to you.

Check ticket arrangements close to travel using official visitor information. Particular tomb access can change; a valley name in a package is not proof that every famous interior is included. If you have a specific tomb or temple priority, put its name in your request and ask how unavailable access would affect the quote. This is especially important for conservation-sensitive interiors.

Agree what happens if only one part changes

Weather or operating approval may prevent flying while a ground tour remains possible. Ask whether you would keep the ground tour, move both activities or cancel an optional portion, and which terms apply to each choice. Use the booking request form with your date, hotel or cruise, traveler names and ages, main sightseeing priority and later commitments. State whether you want a private ground vehicle and ask separately about the balloon arrangement. Add mobility concerns or dietary needs relevant to the planned break.

The team will need to confirm availability, the agreed price and pickup before the flight is confirmed. Keep the final written plan accessible so you can check the service scope without trying to reconstruct it from a package headline on the morning.
